Feedback

We need your help!

Tell us what you like and dislike about JobHut, and what you would like to see in the next release…which will be in June of 2008.

Examples include:

1) Better administration tools,

2) The ability to report inappropriate job postings by “employers”, and

3) The creation of a “job agent” (e.g. automated emails to registered users for job postings that match specific criteria).

Thank you,

Greg

Have your application set up and working but cannot figure out how the employer logs out after posting a job. If I act as an employer and post a job, leave the site then return later, I’m still logged in as the employer instead of being a person looking for a job.

    Thanks,

    Richard

Will be corrected in version 2.0, which will be released June 2008.

Hello, nice app. Thanks for releasing the code.

It would be cool to allow the job posters to be able to upload images that would get thumbnailed and put into a lightbox gallery or similar. That would make it more suitable for a general classified script.

A pay per post option that interfaces with paypal would be great also.

Thank you! I VERY MUCH like the idea of posters being able to upload an image. I may add that to the next release.

Thank you for your feedback. We will seriously consider making it multilingual – AND MAY NEED YOUR HELP. Honestly, we never expected to have so many global downloads/implementations.

    Hi,
in my third point I mean that now for a seeker is possible only response to an job categorized but is not possible insert a spontaneous submission.
I mean that for a seeker is not possible leave his CV without responding to any job.
    Tnx

Thank you! I’m glad to see it may be used for a non-profit organization. As far as your error goes, make sure the “temporary” directory has appropriate read/write permissions.

    Hi,
Few days back i had downloaded the jobhut and tried in my local machine. later i downloaded the patch file. After running the patch file the application is giving the Fatal error: Call to undefined function: dynamiclink() in C:\web\jobhut\index.php on line 30

I think something is happened with the library/process.php file. I am retrying to download the jobhut zip file. and after extracting it, its throwing an error for the process.php file.

Can somebody help me to getting the original process.php file

    Thank you
    Sanjeev

“I would like to use jobhut for the company where I work, so I would like to avoid other employer registrations excluding mine.”

    – cool

“Do you suggest me to delete “Employer Login” and “Employer Register” links after creation of myself as employer? or do you have other suggestions?”

    – nah, that sounds about right …

    “Any forecast about multilanguage?”

    – nope – been working on other things …

Is there a way to turn off the login for all users? My client only wants himself to be able to ad jobs. And for the visitors to be able to apply and search only.

This is a really nice core to build on. In the past week, even with my rusty PHP skills, I’ve been able to add the following to this script.

    1. Added “Newest listings” to index page

    2. Registration – added company and user name fields with error checking in the JS file

    3. Added session data to display “Welcome username” to members, “Welcome guest” to visitors

    4. Added contact form to email site owner

    5. “Insert Job” page includes the members’ company name automaticaly, which is displayed in the pop up job detail page.

    6. Added “Print this Page” function to Job Detail Pop up page

    7. Created basic admin area with links to the management pages; easier to get to each page in this way.

    8. Limited file type applications to pdf and plain text, as these ( I believe ) are the most universal for members and visitors. ( Plus I could not get other file types to upload :D )

Still looking into adding paid member banners in the left column, which when clicked will show results for only that companies job listings. Also, the auto logout someone mentioned would be nice.
